Raffaella, what does being a Relocation Manager mean to you, and how did you discover this passion?
“Being a Relocation Manager means much more than organizing moves: it’s an opportunity to connect people with new worlds, helping them feel at home even in the most distant places. I discovered this passion after living in various parts of the world, such as Shanghai and Brazil. Every time I moved, I realized the importance of having empathetic and competent support, someone who understood the challenges I was facing. That’s why I decided to be that person for others, using my experience to make a difference.”

How do you prepare to manage the needs of families and companies that rely on you for their relocations?
“Preparation is the key to success in this job. I consider myself extremely organized and detail-oriented, but what really makes the difference is the ability to listen and interpret each client’s unique needs. Speaking five languages, I can communicate directly with clients from different cultures, understanding not only what they say but also what they don’t say. This allows me to anticipate their needs and offer a truly personalized service.”

What is the most rewarding part of your job, and how do you create a special bond with your clients?
“The most rewarding part is seeing my clients feel at home in their new environment, knowing that I helped make their transition easier and less stressful. Creating a special bond with them comes naturally to me, perhaps because I’ve experienced many of their situations firsthand. It’s not just about providing a service; it’s about being present, building a relationship based on trust and understanding. Each client has a unique story, and I feel privileged to be part of that story.”

How do you maintain a balance between professional challenges and your personal life?
“Maintaining balance is crucial. I’m the mother of two grown children, and I enjoy spending my free time with my family and pursuing my personal interests. Having traveled the world, I’ve learned the importance of taking care of myself in order to give my best to others. I carefully plan my time and try to live in the present, enjoying both the challenges of work and the moments of peace at home.”

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced in your role, and how did you overcome it?
“One of the biggest challenges was organizing a complex relocation for a family with very particular needs, including support for a member with disabilities. It was crucial to ensure that every detail was perfect, from transportation to accommodation, and that everything was ready when they arrived in the new city. I worked closely with several teams, coordinating each phase with precision and creativity. In the end, seeing the family’s joy and peace of mind was the greatest reward.”
